Bronco announce two new 1/35 scale releases
Following hot on the heals of Dragon’s recent announcements, Bronco have also provided details of two new kits, both in 1/35 scale. Bronco are a relatively new manufacturer in the plastic model scene, however they are quickly creating a reputation for producing high quality and accurate models. Their latest releases are sure to be a success:
- CB35024 – British 17pdr Anti-Tank gun Mk.I
- CB35057 – German 2cm Flakvierling 38 w/Sd.Ah 52 carriage trailer.
Armorama provide a little more detail with a couple of box art images.
Of special interest will be the 17pdr which has been long on many armour modeller’s wish lists. The Ordnance Quick-Firing 17 pounder (or just 17 pdr) was a 76.2 mm (3 inch) gun developed by the United Kingdom during World War II. It was used as an anti-tank gun on its own carriage, as well as equipping a number of British tanks. It was the most effective Allied anti-tank gun of the war. Used with the APDS shot it was capable of defeating all but the thickest armour on German tanks. It was used to ‘up-gun’ some foreign-built vehicles in British service, notably the Sherman Firefly, giving British tank units the ability to hold their own with their German counterparts.
