Fantastic Plastic announce a C-21 Assault Ship
Following on from their AT-99 Scorpion Gunship release, Fantastic Plastic have announced a 1/144 scale resin kit of the C-21 Assault Ship as seen in the film Avatar. Scheduled for release in February 2011 this kit is sure to come with a hefty price tag, but if Fantastic Plastic do their homework this will be quite a spectacular model. According to Fantastic Plastic:
“The C-21 “Dragon” is a heavy transport and gunship used by military and paramilitary entities both on Earth and in hostile alien environments. A four-engine VTOL, the C-21 is designed to operate in virtually any type of arena, from brutal artic tundra to deep tropical rainforest. It carries a massive arsenal of missiles, Gatling-guns, rockets, incendiary weapons and grenade launchers, and can also deploy large contingents of armoured and un-armoured personnel. Although relatively slow and difficult to manoeuvre, the C-21′s sheer firepower make it a formidable lead gunship for any large-scale military assault.”
