About
Welcome
Newbury Scale Model Club is one of West Berkshire’s longest serving model clubs.
Established over 30 years ago, it has seen many changes. Its had a few different homes.
One thing however, that has not changed is the Clubs content. We all build scale models, and thats a huge topic range. The quality of modelling varies from modeller to modeller, but by coming together as we do, we get the chance to share techniques, learn new ways of doing things, pick up the latest fads, and as a result the quality improves. I know mine has.
Today we have some remarkably talented modellers. (The Club is always looking for more modellers male and female and from all age groups.)
As a Model Club we follow the rules/guide lines as laid down by IPMS.
These rules will be modified as an when required to suit the particular needs of the Club by the elected committee. Details of our Constitution can be inspected upon request.
You’ll find us at the British Legion on the penultimate Thursday of the month from 7.00pm onwards. 17th September 2009, 22nd October 2009, 19th November 2009.December to be confirmed.
There is a dress code rule enforced within the British Legion organisation, and The Newbury Scale Model Club asks all of its members to comply with this British Legion rule.
Casual dress is ok, however track suits/lounging suits, are not allowed. No shorts of any kind.
