2010 Club Visit

During July’s Club meeting it was agreed that the Club should organise and fund a Club outing. This would involve the hire of a minibus and driver and a visit to a museum or similar attraction, probably in September or October. For this year’s event there were three possible venues suggested namely Bovington Tank Museum, Duxford Imperial War Museum or Cosford Air Museum.

Could all Club members please let the Club Secretary know which would be your preferred destination and also your second choice? Once all votes are in the details will be finalised and Club members informed.

July Club meeting tonight!

Just a quick reminder that tonight is July’s Club meeting from 7pm at the Royal British Legion, Newbury.

RG14 1NP.

Please bring any recently finished or in-progress models as well as anything you have for the Club Group Build.

Please bear in mind that there is a dress code enforced within the Royal British Legion organisation, and the Newbury Scale Model Club asks all of its members and visitors to comply with this rule. Casual dress is OK, however track suits, lounging suits and shorts are not allowed.

Just a quick reminder that the next Club meeting will be held on Thursday July 15th at the Royal British Legion Newbury from 7pm. This month we will be mainly discussing the summer show season, discussing the future of NewMod and reviewing the Group Build, so please bring along any of your related builds.

As usual, please bring any models you may have that are either finished or in progress. These always provide a great talking point once the formal Club activities are complete.

Just a quick reminder that tonight is May’s Club meeting from 7pm at the Royal British Legion, Newbury:

As requested at the EGM, can you please bring any Club assets you have so they can be sorted in preparation for storage or disposal.

Club Member and Friend email addresses

I recently sent an email to all people on the Club’s email distribution list asking for confirmation of their email address. If you are a Club Member or Friend and did not receive an email then please contact the Club Secretary (secretary@newburyscalemodelclub.org.uk) and provide your current contact details.

If you wish to become a NSMC Member, why not turn up to one of our Club meetings to find out a what we are about. The Club meets at the Royal British Legion Newbury branch on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 7.00pm onwards. Have a look at the ‘About Us‘ page for more details.
